Acer has just announced that they are going to launch a new gaming monitor that's branded as "Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor". The monitor features HDMI 2.1 port capable of running all compatible games at 4K resolutions and 120hz refresh rates.
This Acer XV282K KV 28” Xbox Edition is perfectly suitable for computers, too. The monitor is branded and advertised for Xbox Series X/S console gamers, but it is also capable of running 4K UHD resolution at 144hz if you hook it up using the DisplayPort input. Acer XV282K KV Xbox Edition gaming monitor comes with 28-inch IPS screen, 4K UltraHD 3840 x 2160 screen resolution, 144hz variable refresh rate for PCs, 120hz support for the latest gaming consoles, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1ms minimum response time, excellent wide viewing angles, DisplayPort input, HDMI 2.1 port, 3.5mm headphone jack, VESA 100x100 compatible, VESA DisplayHDR 400 compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium technology support, Acer VisionCare 3.0, KVM Switch.
The monitor's official web page lists only AMD FreeSync Premium Pro as compatible with it, but the monitor will work perfectly fine with the NVIDIA G-Sync technology. Also, it will work just the same with the PlayStation 5 even though the monitor is branded as Xbox Gaming edition. This monitor will be released this autumn and it will cost $950.
