AOC AGON Pro AG274FZ announcement confirms 1080p IPS screen with 260hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium support

AOC has officially confirmed the specs for a brand new gaming monitor sporting 260hz refresh rate and a Full HD 1080p resolution.  The complete name for this monitor is AGON Pro AG274FZ and below you can find info on all the features and specs it has to offer for those looking to game at high refresh rates and lower resolutions.

The monitor is designed for competitive video games due to its high refresh rate, lower resolution and Adaptive Sync support for both NVIDIA and AMD technologies. One thing that we aren't quite fond of is its size, as the AOC AGON Pro AG274FZ offers a 27-inch IPS screen with only 1920 x 1080 maximum screen resolution. When the monitor is launched we will be able to tell for sure if there are any pixels visible, as the 27-inch diagonal size is best suited for at least 1440p resolutions.

Here are some of the other things AOC has put into the AGON Pro AG274FZ monitor: 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms GtG minimum response time, 400 nits maximum brightness levels, excellent wide viewing angles due to its 8-bit IPS screen, 111% sRGB, 86% DCI-P3 and 92% AdobeRGB color gamuts, as well as factory calibration that measures <2 Delta E. When it comes to connectivity, the monitor offers two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and four USB 3.2 ports, 3.5mm headphone jack.

For those looking to game without any stuttering or screen tearing AOC has set a maximum refresh rate of 260hz and added support for both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies.

The AOC AGON Pro AG274FZ gaming monitor offers two 5W built-in stereo speakers capable of DTS sound, AOC Light FX RGB lighting for those who love for their desk to light up when gaming, Dark Field Control, FPS counter, other gaming functions and complete ergonomics. The stand that comes with the monitor looks to be excellent and it offers support for adjusting the monitor's swivel, rotate, height and tilt angles easily using a single hand due to it featuring a 3-legged design. The monitor will be made available for purchase most probably at the end of the year and it should cost somewhere around $500 -  we will post an update article when such details are made known by AOC.
