This new monitor's complete model version is ROG Strix XG17AHP and it offers a 17.3 inch IPS panel, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080 Full HD screen resolution, 100% sRGB, 300 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 3ms GtG response time, 240hz refresh rate, foldable ROG tripod, ROG Smart Cover, Shadow Boost, Low Blue Light, Flicker-free, Adaptive-Sync support that should work with both FreeSync and G-Sync technologies. The monitor also offers two 1W built-in stereo speakers, ESS Sabre HiFi DAC, USB Type-C port, and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.

Another cool thing that the monitor is offering is the built-in 7800mAh lithium-polymer battery. If you're using the monitor at 240hz you will get 3.5 hours of battery life out of it. If you don't want to run on battery power, then you can use the power adapter that comes packed with the monitor. The monitor is compatible with Linux, Chrome OS, Mac OS and Microsoft Windows computers.

The ROG Tripod appears to be offering great build quality, a compact design that will not occupy too much space when travelling. You should be able to fit the monitor and its tripod in almost any type of laptop bag. The monitor will be launched later this year. We will post an update when new info will get released by ASUS.
