CES 2023: Dell UltraSharp U3423WE is official with UltraWide 1440p, USB-C and IPS Black screen

Dell has announced today their brand new curved ultrawide professional monitor that seems to sports a new IPS Black panel which should greatly improve color accuracy and offer better contrat ratio that a normal IPS panel. The monitor is not designed for gaming as it doesn't offer high refresh rate and the response time values are not that great.

The complete name used for this monitor is Dell UltraSharp U3423WE and it was presented earlier today at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The monitor offers a 34-inch UltraWide IPS black screen, 3440 x 1440 UltraWide QHD resolution, USB-C 90W power delivery port, Auto KVM switch, RJ45 Ethernet port, 5ms GtG response time on the Fast setting, 1.07B colors, 98% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, HDMI 2.0 ports, 60hz refresh rate, PiP and PbP.

The IPS Black panels have been designed by LG Display and these are an improvement over the standard IPS technology seen until now. IPS Black offers deeper black levels, higher contrast ratio that should reach over 2000:1 contrast value while standard IPS only goes up to 1000:1. Also, it should provide better color and image accuracy, and better wide viewing angles. The monitor should be released in the following months. Keep an eye on our website to learn more about it.
