Huawei Presents Their First OLED Smart TV, It Sports 65" Screen, 24MP pop-up Camera, HDR, 120Hz panel, and It Launches This April

Huawei has just announced a brand new Smart TV and it is the first unit they release with an OLED panel and a pop-up camera.

The Huawei Vision X65 comes with a 65-inch OLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, 1000 nits maximum brightness, German TUV Rheinland certification with Eye Care protection, fourteen 75W audio speakers, 24MP pop-up camera with an ultrawide angle sensor designed for video calls, HiSilicon Hi3559C chipset, gesture controls support using the camera's video and audio controls, 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

This Huawei Vision X65 is currently sold in China with pre-orders being available for 24999 CNY, which translates somewhere around $3500. All the units pre-ordered today will be shipped starting with April 26. We have no info on the TV's worldwide availability, but it should take a few months before it gets anywhere outside China.

The pop-up camera that the Huawei Vision X65 Smart TV comes with is able to register audio and video gestures, so that you will be able to control its functions using simple hand movements. The camera module packed with this TV uses Air Gestures and these will allow you to Play, Mute/ Unmute, Playback progress, adjust volume, and Pause video. The OLED screen comes with a custom Honghu 898 image processor that uses AI algorithms in order to optimize and provide better image quality than other panels they are using on their other TVs. Since the TV comes with 6GB of RAM you should find the UI very fast and smooth.

The integrated Smart OS is called the HarmonyOS and it provides support for all the major media streaming services. We hope to get more info on the image quality and streaming performance when the TV gets launched at the end of this month.
