MSI Optix MEG381CWR Will Be Released Later This Year, It Features 144Hz, HMI Technology, and Curved 37.5" IPS Panel

MSI has been very active at CES 2020, and now we're getting news on their future MEG281CWR IPS panel. The monitor is a curved one and it should be ready for release at the end of this year.

MSI Optix MEG381CWR offers a diagonal size of 37.5 inches, a maximum resolution of 3840 x 1600, 2300R curvature radius and an aspect ratio of 24:10. The variable refresh rate of 144Hz is offered for both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync technologies. This model also offers VESA DisplayHDR 600 support. Other features found on this model: 90% DCI-P3, 10bit color depth, 1ms gray-to-gray response time, IPS curved panel and excellent wide viewing angles.

However, the coolest thing about this model is that it comes Integrated HMI technology. This feature offers a control wheel dial, a small HMI OLED display that shows info on CPU frequency, weather, and others more. Also, the bottom bezel of this model features a small camera capable of facial recognition that can be used to load your personal user settings - a feature that comes in handy if you share your monitor with your family.

There is no official release date for the MSI Optix MEG281CWR, but it is expected to be available at the start of Q4 of this year. This monitor might probably be the first one with a HMI (human-machine interface) and it remains to be seen if it will be a gimmick or it will start a cool trend for monitor manufacturers.
