MSI posts info about the Optix PAG272QR2, new 1440p gaming monitor with 165hz variable refresh rate

The MSI Optix PAG272QR2 is a brand new gaming monitor that MSI should release before the end of this year. The monitor's specs are confirmed as MSI has updated the chinese version of the device's web page.

MSI Optix PAG272QR2 will sport the following specs: 27-inch IPS panel, 2560 x 1440 maximum screen resolution, 165hz variable refresh rate, Adaptive Sync for both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync technologies, 1ms GtG response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, excellent wide viewing angles, 98% DCI-P3 and 99% Adobe RGB wide color gamuts, and RGB lighting on the back.

The design of the PAG272QR2 follows MSI's classic look and it provides a stand with cable management and support for adjusting its tilt, swivel, and height positions, so that gamers will always experience a comfortable gaming session. The monitor's panel also should come with Flicker-free, Low Blue Light and other smaller panel tweaks that should greatly reduce eye fatigue.

We couldn't find any details on the monitor's release date in the United States nor Europe, but we should see it released some time this year. Keep an eye on our website in the following months to find out more about the pricing, availability and release date.
