MSI will soon launch MAG272RX and the MAG272CRX Gaming Monitors, Both Will Feature FullHD 240Hz Refresh Rate VA Panels
MSI has revealed two new 27" gaming monitors, one flat (MAG272RX) and a second one that is curved (MAG272CRX), and soon we should be getting an official release date. Both monitors are offering FullHD screen resolution, VA displays and 240Hz refresh rates.

Both monitors are bringing the same specs and functions, and the only thing that's different between them is the shape of the screen and some color gamut values. The curved MAG272CRX has a screen curvature radius of 1500R and a lower DCI-P3 90% and 115% sRGB color gamuts, while the flat MAG272RX model has the following color gamut values: DCI-P3 92% and 116% for sRGB.

MSI has added 240Hz refresh rate capable VA panels on both models, and the maximum screen resolution will be set at 1920 x 1080 Full HD. The contrast ratio value is set at 3000:1, while the maximum brightness levels reached by this model are reaching 300 nits. Both models should come with one DisplayPort, two HDMI inputs, one USB Type-C, two USB 3.2 ports and one 3.5mm headphone jack. These monitors should be offering Flicker-Free and Blue Light filters in order to greatly reduce eye strain when gaming for long sessions.
Something that still remains unknown is the panel's true refresh rate times, as the 1ms MPRT value reported by MSI only refers the blur reduction backlight mode, and that means basically nothings when it comes to gaming. The release date will be announced soon enough and hopefully we will get info about the pricing, too.
