New 49-inch Ultrawide curved monitor is presented by Philips, 498P9Z features 165hz refresh rate, VRR and 1440p resolution

Philips has set live the official specs website for their new ultrawide monitor. The Philips 498P9Z is finally official and it is designed for offices mainly, but it also backs some features that are applied with gaming in mind.

The Philips 498P9Z will offer: 48.8-inch VA panel, 5120 x 1440 resolution, 32:9 aspect ratio, 1800R screen curvature, 165hz variable refresh rate through DisplayPort input, 75hz refresh rate support through the HDMI port, 109ppi pixel density, 4ms GtG standard response time, 550nits maximum brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, excellent wide viewing angles, SmartImage, Flicker-free, Adaptive-Sync and support for both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync technologies, DCI-P3 91% color gamut.

The panel of the Philips 498P9Z is certified as Adobe RGB 89%, sRGB 122%, and NTSC 100% also, and it also comes with Delta E <2 pre-calibration. On the back of the monitor you will find one DisplayPort 1.4 input capable of 165hz variable refresh rate, three HDMI 2.0 ports that only go up to 75hz refresh rate, two USB 3.2 upstream ports, and four USB 3.2 downstream ports with one of these ports offering B.C 1.2 fast charge support.

Philips 498P9Z curved ultrawide monitor also comes with built-in 5W audio speakers, KVM switch, Picture-by-Picture support, Kensington lock, VESA 100x100 certification, swivel adjustment, tilt angle adjustment, as well as height adjustable stand. The monitor should soon be available for purchase across the world.
