Optix MPG321UR-QD is a new 4K 32-inch Quantum Dot IPS gaming monitor from MSI

MSI will launch a brand new gaming monitor with 4K resolution and IPS screen that is designed for eSports. The MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD might be a pricey unit as the rumored MSRP value is set somewhere around $1000 and it will most probably be made available for purchase some time in 2022.

The monitor's design follows a modern look with thin bezels and RGB lighting on its back. Since the monitor is designed with 4K@144hz gaming it has been added by MSI to their Optix eSports monitor lineup which consists of monitors capable of high refresh rates at high resolutions. The MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD comes with the following specs: 32-inch Quantum Dot IPS screen, 3840 x 2160 4K maximum screen resolution, 144hz refresh rate, 400nits standard brightness, 600nits HDR peak brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, excellent wide viewing angles, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and one USB Type-C port. Also, the monitor features USB 2.0 Type-A hub consisting of 6 independent ports, as well as three extra USB 2.0 Type-B ports.

The monitor's refresh rate is set at 144hz via both DisplayPort inputs and HDMI 2.1 ports. Also, the monitor's official product website only lists NVIDIA G-Sync technology as supported, but the monitor has built-in Adaptive Sync function which means that it also supports AMD FreeSync, too. We should be able to post an update when MSI will officially confirm details like availability, final pricing and release date.
