Roku TVs Are Getting Roku OS 9.3 Update: Adds Support for Spanish Language, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Better Performance
The Roku OS 9.3 update will be launched later this year for all the Roku TVs in the US. Also, the update will be first launched on Roku streaming devices, as that should be ready for launch at the end of April 2020 or early May 2020.
The Roku OS software update offers better speed and a much more fluid UI, as well as lower boot times. The new update should bring Spanish language support for the first time that will greatly help those that aren't native English speakers. The Roku OS 9.3 firmware is bringing better voice recognition for users in Ireland, UK and Canada.
The Roku Voice improvements are bringing better performance for devices that have been released a few years back, new customizations, and you can now search by genres, titles, actors and control any Roku device you currently own in your house.
Besides the Roku OS update for TV there will be a new software update released for the Roku Mobile app, so that the pairing between TV and smartphone will be done easier allowing for better and faster control over your TV. The Customization changes will offers support for changing Home Screen wallpapers, screensavers and find them all in the Theme menu under Settings.
