ViewSonic Elite XG272G-2K is an eSports oriented 1440p monitor, Launch date set for Autumn 2022
ViewSonic should launch their brand new 1440p QHD gaming monitor later this year and they are tipping it as an eSports oriented model capable of very high refresh rate at 1440p QHD resolution.
The monitor's complete title is "Elite XG272G-2K" and it is made in partnership with NVIDIA as they are strongly pushing the NVIDIA G-Sync Ultima support along with a maximum refresh rate of 300hz. The monitor uses IGZO IPS technology, which consists of a display made of Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide. It also features VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The Elite XG272G-2Kalso brings the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer technology, 1ms minimum response time, 240hz native refresh rate, 300hz VRR can be achieved via overclock. More details should be made available at a later date and that is when we will learn everything there is to know about it. ViewSonic will most probably make the announcements before this summer and the launch date will happen in autumn 2022.
The Elite XG272G-2K offers tons of features and functions that are NVIDIA-branded, and its screen is a MiniLED-backlit model with576 dimming zones that should greatly improve contrast and image quality. VESA DisplayHDR certification lets us know that the monitor is capable of reaching 1000nits maximum brightness. If you are a competitive gamer and you're not so keen on getting a new gaming monitor, then we suggest you wait for the launch of this ViewSonic Elite XG272G-2K as it might be a great purchase if the advertised features will work as intended.
